Nurses Recruitment and Retention Fund Grants
There are a number of grants and incentives available to nurses in Manitoba through the Nurses Recruitment and Retention Fund (NRRF).
Established in 1999, the NRRF is committed to enhancing the delivery of health services in the province of Manitoba by addressing issues of nursing supply. Main functions of the NRRF include the development of strategies to assist with recruitment and retention of registered nurses (RNs), registered psychiatric nurses (RPNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), or nurse practitioners (NPs) in Manitoba.

for nurses newly hired to an
eligible personal care home
$4,000
for new grads who relocate to a rural or northern community
$4,000

for bridging from LPN to RN/RPN
(retroactive to January 1, 2024)

All applications for NRRF Continuing Education funding must come from the Regional Continuing Education Committees. Please contact your RHA Nursing CME contact from the list below.
