Manitoba offers market-competitive physician salaries as per the Physician Services Agreement. In addition, physician insurance costs are among the lowest in the country, helping you keep more of what you earn.

Making a move has never been easier. Relocation Incentives available for Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine and other Specialty Medicine Physicians to help with the transition and settle comfortably into their new community.

We value your commitment. Physicians can earn $15,000–$30,000 retention bonuses, paid every five years based on years of service and location, while rural physicians receive $25,000 every three years—a recognition of your ongoing contribution to Manitoba’s health care system.

Having spent 16 years as the Medical Director of the Office of Rural and Northern Health, now part of the HCRRO, and having previously served as Associate Head of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Manitoba, Dr. Klassen has played a vital role in shaping medical education and physician recruitment in the province. His deep understanding of Manitoba’s healthcare system and dedication to mentorship make him an invaluable guide for physicians exploring practice opportunities in the region.

Dr. Phillip Endleman, MD, MBChB MA (Cantab), CCFP (EM)

Physician Recruitment Consultant

Dr. Phillip Endleman is originally from the United Kingdom, where he completed medical school at Cambridge University and completed his Foundation Training. He relocated to Manitoba in 2016, completed Family Medicine residency in Winnipeg, then undertook a year of added competency in Emergency Medicine (CCFP EM). He has since been practicing emergency medicine full-time; he is currently working at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg. Dr. Endleman brings valuable first-hand experience navigating both the UK and Canadian medical systems. His specialty is supporting internationally trained physicians by helping them understand differences in licensure, credentialing, and practice structure, and guiding them through the relocation process to Manitoba.
