Audiologists are skilled professionals with specialized knowledge and clinical training in the assessment and management of hearing and balance disorders.
They work with people who experience hearing loss across the lifespan; provide hearing aids, listening devices, and hearing protection equipment; and facilitate hearing screening and hearing safety programs.
Role Requirements
- Audiologists work in different environments, including hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centres, and long-term care facilities.
- Audiologists work collaboratively with other disciplines to support patient care goals.
- Audiologists work eight-hour shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

A Master’s degree is required to practice audiology in Canada. There is currently no training program in Manitoba, but there are six universities in Canada that offer an audiology program:
