Licensing and Professional Resources
The College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba
The College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Manitoba is the regulatory body for audiologists in Manitoba. To practice in Manitoba, audiologists must register with, and hold a valid certificate of practice from, the CASLPM.
Completion of the Canadian Entry-to-Practice (CETP) exam is strongly encouraged, but not required, to be registered with the CASLPM.
Professional Associations
Audiologists are represented by two professional associations – the Canadian Academy of Audiology and Speech-Language & Audiology Canada. These organizations act as national voices for audiologists in Canada and support the profession through advocacy, education, and research.
“I will never forget when I fitted a young child with his first hearing aid. When the mother called the baby’s name, he had the most beautiful smile on his face and there were tears in the mother’s eyes.
I realized that when we are helping a child, not only are we making an impact on the child’s life – the entire family feels the effect of what we do.”
– Pratima, Audiologist
